Dr. Sharon Adams is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a distinguished academic background: a B.A. in Psychology and Drama from UNC-Chapel Hill, a Master of Divinity from Duke University, a Doctorate of Divinity from Drew School of Theology, and an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling from Winston-Salem State University.
Dr. Adams works with clients ages 15 and up, as well as couples, addressing relationship conflict, depression, anxiety, emotional distress, and major life transitions. She believes in the power of a collaborative therapeutic relationship and supports clients’ holistic well-being. Her integrative approach—drawing from Person-Centered and Existential therapies, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology—allows her to tailor care to each person’s needs, fostering resilience, self-awareness, and growth.
